Woodspeak Creators - Sarah Butterworth for Artsreach Children's Summer Workshops

26th July 2019 to 26th July 2019

Squelch-hog, yellow-cup, bushy-fast-step… create a brand new language using descriptions, images and sounds from the woods. Based on our woodland experiences, make large, spontaneous and colourful drawings of flowers, animals, insects and trees. By randomly pairing images and sounds together, create a new species to live in our fantastical woodland. Use wire, paper, tape, and coloured tissue we will bring our own magical woodland to life. Expect a fabulous team activity day exploring words and images, and create your very own woodland sculpture to take home. Dress for mess and bring a packed lunch! This workshop is part of the Artsreach Creative Summer Programme and is suitable for ages 8+
